Transcription and copying : Ronald ALPHONSE It was in 1953, during a European tour of Lionel Hampton's large orchestra of which he was a member, that trumpeter Clifford Brown (who died prematurely at the age of 26) and saxophonist Gigi Gryce recorded these historic sides in Paris.
